Punjab Government organized a Condolence Reference Session in Memory of Late Ex-P&D Member.

Punjab Planning & Development Department hosted a Condolence Reference Session in the memory of deceased Former Member Planning & Development Board Farasat Iqbal at P&D Complex Lahore.

(Rtd) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha, Secretary Archive Ahmad Raza Sarwar, Director General LDA Zahid Akhtar Zaman, DG PHA Mian Shakeel, DG Punjab Food Authority Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, Sr. Consultant (CPEC) General (Rtd) Zahir Shah, Members P&D Board Hassan Mehmood, Agha Waqar Javed, Dr. Abid Bodla, Dr. Shabana Haider, Sadaqat Hussain, Khalid Sultan, Mukhtar Ahmad Noal, Mian Waheed-ud-Din, Additional Secretary P&D Dr. Shahid Adil, Ali Haider Son of Late Member Farasat Iqbal, Faisal Iqbal Brother of Late Member, Joint Chief Economist P&D Dr. Amanullah, Director PERI Dr. Mumtaz Anwar, Family Members of Late Farasat Iqbal & Administration wing of P&D Department attended the session.

          Addressing the condolence reference, Chairman P&D Jahanzeb Khan said that “Every Soul shall have a taste of Death”. Chairman has expressed his profound grief on behalf of P&D Department over the sad demise of former Member P&D Board Farasat Iqbal. P&D Department offered condolence to the bereaved family and also prayed that almighty Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give them courage and patience to bear the irreparable lose, Chairman P&D added. During the session Chairman Jahanzeb Khan, highlighting the Government Services delivered by Late Farasat Iqbal, paid great tribute to him. He also thanked the family members of the Late P&D Member participated in the condolence reference.

          At the session, Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo being a host of the reference highlighting the practical life of deceased said that Farasat Iqbal, being a thorough gentleman nice fellow, served the P&D Board for a one year with hardworking, honestly & diligently. Addressing the Session, Secretary Energy Asad Ullah Gillani said that deceased Farasat Iqbal was a close family friend of him and also they got jointly training in Civil Services Academy. He was a man of Principles, sensitive and good in nature. Beside this, he also served the Sindh Government more than 10 years. Therefore, in recognition of his good services Government of Sindh also organized a Condolence Reference in the memory of Late Farasat Iqbal. Secretary Archives Ahmad Raza Sarwar in his remarks said that deceased Farasat Iqbal was like a Flower and we all batch mates called him “Chacha”. In the condolence reference, Ali Haider Son of deceased told the participants that his father was a great personality, loving & caring Dad. He also thanked the Chairman P&D, Secretary P&D and his team members for hosting this remarkable reference. Faisal Iqbal younger brother of decreased told that he was a loving brother and liked poetry too much. At the last participants also prayed for departed soul.
